Maharaj ji’s blessings are showered on so many people. Here are a few from today:
Mulayam Singh Yadav, former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, was blessed by Maharaj when he went to Uttar Pradesh. News has come that under Maharaj ji’s inspiration, this prominent political figure has started continual recitation of Jaap Sahib in his house, with help from his family and servants, and has put up a big picture of Guru Gobind Singh.
Today an old sevadar, Atma Singh, has come to beg Maharaj to bless his poor crops. Maharaj says that Atma Singh has done a lot of seva. But the younger men in his family have been criticizing Maharaj ji for all these years, so it is no wonder that they have no crops. They apologize for any mistakes they have made. Maharaj tells them to take blessed water from Baba Sri Chand’s bath, apply it in their fields, and sprinkle it all around. He says, “Maharaj, mehar Karo!” and one can feel the great vibration of the Guru’s blessing suddenly permeating the area as we sit in the garden. The young men earnestly beg Maharaj ji’s forgiveness, and he gives them a very strong dose of blessing.
Then a woman comes to beg for her husband to stop his heavy drinking. Maharaj tells her to read Jaap Sahib and put it in a high place, and her husband will totally stop.
Finally there is a member of the Gurdwara Management Committee. His son wants to be a model. Maharaj tells him,
Don’t give any money from corruption to the child. Whether he is capable or not, doing so is pointless. Whatever we do here will feed us There, so always do good. To set an example, the prophets gave up everything.
Always hold the Guru’s finger and think, ‘We are nothing.’ In schools [managed by the Committee] we want love, not anger. If people want their own praises they will do bad works. But if one seeks to honour the Guru, everything will be successful, by his so merciful Gaze. His love is so great.
If all the good people retreat, it will not be good. But a person who says, “I am so great” should instead keep quiet. What’s the use of saying that? People slip every minute. We need faith, loyalty, and God’s dharma. Stand on goodness. Don’t take anyone’s rights. Work, meditate, and be courageous.
