May 14, 1998 – Meet God through innocence

Maharaj is calling me, so I rush up to his garden, breathless. He addresses himself to me:

If you try to please your Guru, create an environment that he likes, with fountains and such. He will call you and bless you 24 hours a day. The Guru says, “Those who believe in me always want only to please me and God.”

At the time of Guru Gobind Singh, there was a big social issue of caste divisions. He called his 5 Beloveds from all low castes and places, because there was no ego in God’s house. Such a person who works hard and believes will take a back place, and God will never let him down.

If a person innocently makes mistakes and realizes after, he is forgiven. But if one intentionally does wrong, he is not forgiven. Bhagat Kabir said, “One meets the Lord through innocence.” God immediately manifested to him. Bhagat Nam Dev innocently sat before a stone statue and asked it to eat. But a person who schemes is eventually exposed.
