A surprising event: Jerome from New Jersey came to Gobind Sadan with stomach problems. He discovered that the problem was instantly removed by eating some of the rot Prasad, a thick sweet unleavened bread distributed in great quantities to the poor every Tuesday night here in honour of Hanuman. When Maharaj hears this, he tells Jerome,

God’s Power heals 24 hours a day. You know the priests criticized a woman who was being stoned [on suspicion of adultery], but Jesus healed her by the power of his merciful gaze. God always heals, but it’s a matter of our love. He heals if we look at Him with love and pray from inside.

            Jerome asks, “Is faith needed, too?”

            Maharaj answers,

100%. How will you pray if you don’t have faith? Jesus alsays said, “Your faith has healed you. What has no love is wasted.” Do everything from the heart. A person may go to church, but have enmity and fear. When a person is worried, he has no faith or love. But you know that whatever God does is okay. Jesus said that if you have faith even the size of a tiny mustard seed, you can move mountains. Faith is love.

Why ask what will happen tomorrow? Tomorrow will keep happening, and it’s not our worry but rather that of He who creates it.

A tree makes no plans, has no worry for tomorrow. Likewise, you thank Him for whatever He has given today and then sleep. It is not that you should not work. Making every effort is different from worrying. You’ll make the situation bigger by worrying. Work, make plans, but don’t worry. Stay happy and enjoy.

Some people have a few children, but God has billions of children. Moses went up the mountain, considering the Israelite slaves his children. Everyone says they must help the poor, but he has done it. He was an example for us.

Whether working in business or with your hands, [be wise:] don’t give to anyone you don’t trust. We don’t want to be insulted, hurt, or cheated. Don’t let bad thoughts come through your gate. But as Buddha said, do everything with love, including business.
