3 March 1998 – Give women positions of power

Near the time of her death ceremony anniversary, Maharaj ji is lovingly remembering his mother, Iqbal Kaur. He says, “Where would I be if she had not been?” He tells us to organize health care services in her name. Then he dictates a powerful statement about women that he wants us to spread all over the world, in many languages:

Gobind Sadan appeals to the world: Women should have social and ruling power. They should not just stay at home. When God gave them such a high position, why should we make them second class?

Without mothers, no scientists or saints could have taken birth. It is not that women are weak and men are strong. It is God’s decision that women are the ones who will give birth. We respect the earth because it gives crops. Seeds are worthless in a bag; their value comes when they are placed in soil. Females are created by God for the creation of everything. The greatest pain is that of giving birth, but immediately after giving birth to a baby, a woman grasps the child to kiss it.

A woman passes through different phases. As a girl she gets training in proper dress. Then she receives management training as guests, husband, and children come into her life. Women are the most fit for management and hospitality. Woman sets an example for the world, always thinking of her husband and children. I wondered, What is God’s “Number One Man?” Woman. Every prophet was preceded by its mother. Jesus was created from Light. His father was set aside but his mother was the “Number One Man.”

No country has given women positions for which they are capable. Wherever women are criticized or oppressed, God will surely understand that His order is not being followed. If we want peace in the world, we must give positions to women.

Where there is rebellion, crime, corruption, is it not that we have hurt women?

This is my inner appeal to the world: Give women great management positions. Then you will see very practical results.
